Jamaican teen killed at same spot where his mom died

(Jamaica Star) Norville Hall longed to join the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF). In fact, he had made a promise to his late mother, Damone Roberts, who was killed on his birthday in 2014, that he was going to make her proud by becoming a solider.
He even joined the cadet corps at Ascot High School where he was a grade 10 student. Unfortunately, the 15-year-old was killed by gunmen in his yard on Second Street in Trench Town last Sunday.

Norville Hall
According to police reports, at approximately 8:15 p.m., residents reportedly heard gunshots coming from the home and alerted the police.
Upon their arrival, the teenager was found suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. No one has been taken into custody for the incident.
PICTURE OF GRIEF
A relative of Norville was a picture of grief when THE STAR visited the home yesterday. A bullet hole in a car and blood stains on the wall of the house give an idea of what transpired.
According to the relative, Norville fell at the exact spot where his mother did when she was stabbed to death years ago.
“The solider dem just walk past, enuh … just a few minutes before dem kill him. He was bending over and was fixing the bumper on the vehicle and people say dem see when the man dem walk up and shot him. Him run off but him get one in his back when him a run and drop at the doorway,” the relative said. Norville was pronounced dead at the Kingston Public Hospital minutes later.
The relative said that Norville was industrious and independent, and was focused on his education and part-time job.
“Him wasn’t a idler, enuh. Is a likkle youth who never ask mi for stuff because him used to do delivery work on weekends and wash cars and save his money. Him save $30,000 already and give me and say he was saving to buy his bike,” the relative said.
