Brazil reported 239,245 deaths from Covid-19, after 713 deaths on Sunday, the Ministry of Health informed.
The epidemiological briefing also indicated that there were 24,759 contagions in the same period, so Brazil’s total number of Covid-19 cases jumped to 9,834,513.
In addition, the updated bulletin noted that 8,745,424 patients have recovered and 849,044 remain under medical screening.
Sao Paulo, for example, continues to be the epicenter of the pandemic in Brazil, with 56,266 deaths and 1,913,598 positive cases, followed by Rio de Janeiro with 31,487 deaths and 554,835 infected.
