Trinidad man charged with 2020 murder of teenage girl

(Trinidad Guardian) Kelvin Andrews of St. James is expected to appear before a Port of Spain Magistrate charged with the 2020 murder of Brianna Parks.

Andrews 27 of Upper Bournes Road, St James, was charged with the offence, following advice received from Acting Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Joan Honore-Paul on March 8th.

According to police reports, Brianna, 17, of Upper Bournes Road, St. James, was at a house at Long Circular Road, on June 22nd, when she was shot in the stomach by a gunman who then fled the scene.

She was taken to the St. James Medical Facility for treatment where she later died. The accused was arrested in connection with the incident on Wednesday 3rd March, 2021 by officers of the Western Division.
