Cuba reported 8,291 cases of Covid-19 and 75 deaths

Cuba reported today 8,291 new positive cases of SARS-CoV-2, which causes Covid-19, and 75 deaths due to complications with the disease.

With these figures, the country accumulates 784,416 positive cases since March 11, 2020 and 6,676 deaths.

In his usual daily press conference, the national epidemiology chief, Francisco Duran, detailed that 53,918 samples were studied the day before for the detection of the virus and a total of 8,889,419 tests have been analyzed on the island.

He also pointed out that 94,825 people remain hospitalized, including 52,717 suspects to Covid-19, 3, 033 in epidemiological surveillance and 39, 075 with the active virus.
