CARICOM BOOST: Empowering Women and Youth in Agriculture

Caribbean Resilience in Action!

As the Caribbean faces growing climate challenges, the CARICOM Secretariat, supported by the Government of New Zealand, has announced a significant new initiative: CARICOM Boost Women and Youth in Agriculture.

This innovative project aims to enhance the resilience of the Region’s agri-food systems by empowering women and youth in Member States. By improving capacity within the agribusiness sector, CARICOM Boost seeks to improve food security and directly support the Region’s goal of reducing the Food Import Bill by 25% by 2030.

Through this strategic collaboration, CARICOM is not only tackling immediate food security issues but is also establishing a groundwork for lasting sustainability, inclusivity, and prosperity.

Together, we are creating a stronger, more resilient Caribbean that can thrive despite climate change and ensure a sustainable future for generations ahead.
