Guyana reports 26 more COVID cases confirmed

The Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday reported 26 more COVID-19 cases.

Up to yesterday, a total of 8,207 persons had tested positive here.

According to the daily COVID-19 dashboard, 17 of the new cases are from Region Four, 2 each from regions Five and Seven, 3 from Region Three and 1 each from regions One and Eight. The positive cases were confirmed from 327 COVID-19 tests.

The dashboard also revealed that there are 8 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 40 persons in Institutional isolation, 594 in home isolation and 28 persons in institutional quarantine. Approximately 7,379 persons who were infected with the disease have recovered and 186 have died.

Based on the dashboards released from last Sunday to yesterday, 268 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed from a total of 2,610 tests done.
