After reporting 103 new Covid-19 deaths in the past 24 hours, South Africa is today reaching 50,906 deaths.
According to the Ministry of Health, 91 Covid-19 deaths per day have been reported during the last week.
Most of deaths since March 2020 were reported in the southern provinces of Eastern Cape and Western Cape, with 11,316 and 11,308, respectively.
On the other hand, South Africa´s Health Ministry added that the country´s total toll of Covid-19 cases jumped to 1,522,697, of which 991 were reported in the last 24 hours.
On average, according to Health Ministry, the central province of Gauteng, where the cities of Pretoria and Johannesburg are located, reported the highest toll of new Covid-19 cases per day in the last seven days.
