Cuba confirms 832 new Covid-19 cases and five deaths

Cuban health authorities on Friday confirmed 832 new Covi-19 cases and five deaths in the past 24 hours.

Therefore, Cuba reports 70,634 cases and 413 deaths due to complications caused by the disease, since the outbreak of the pandemic on March 11, 2020.

At his daily press conference on televion, Dr. Francisco Duran, director of Epidemiology at the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) informed that 21,425 people are still in hospitals, 3,733 of whom are suspected cases, 14,734 are under epidemiological surveillance and 3,318 are active cases with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes Covid-19.

All molecular biology laboratories in the country performed 19,842 real-time PCR tests to detect the coronavirus, totaling 2,883,123 such tests over a year of pandemic in the country.
