Haiti: 13 people killed in armed gang attack

Le Réseau National de défense des droits de l’homme (National Network for the Defense of Human Rights) (RNDDH) condemned the death of 13 people during a gang attack in Bel Air, close to the Haitian National Palace.

According to the RNDDH, five individuals are currently missing and five others were injured.

In fact, former police officer Jimmy Chérizier, known as Barbecue, claimed responsibility for the attack in a press conference, and assured that it was a response to actions committed against his armed group.

RNDDH reported that 22 houses, shops, food warehouses and a great number of vehicles were burned down.
