Cuba reports 8,544 Covid-19 cases and 60 deaths

Cuban health authorities reported 8,544 new SARS-CoV-2 positive cases and 60 deaths resulting from comorbidities.

In his usual press conference, the head of the National Institute of Epidemiology, Francisco Durán, explained that so far 809,911 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus since March 11th, 2020 and 6,856 have died.

92,601 people remain hospitalized; of them, 49,048 are suspects, 3,234 are under epidemiological surveillance and 40,319 are afflicted with the active virus.

55,402 samples were studied on Sunday, for a total of 9,060,867 tests.
