Trinidad reports 14 new COVID deaths

The Ministry of Health has announced 14 new deaths from COVID, including a 4th death attributed to the Delta variant.

The Ministry has also confirmed 20 new Delta cases.

Of these new cases, 18 had no travel history.

Eleven had prior contact with confirmed COVID cases or symptomatic cases of flu-like illness

This brings the total number of cases of the COVID-19 Delta Variant which have been confirmed for Trinidad and Tobago to 156.

Of the 20 new cases, 9 cases are male and 11 cases are female.

Eleven cases were fully vaccinated; 1 case is partially vaccinated; 8 cases are unvaccinated.

Two cases are pending completion of epidemiologic investigations one individual is deceased.

The Ministry also announced 208 new cases.
