Guyana Ministry reports 46 New COVID-19 cases

Forty-six additional cases of COVID-19 were confirmed yesterday by the Ministry of Health (MoH).

As a result, the total number of COVID-19 cases recorded by Guy-ana to date has increased to 6,851. According to the MoH’s COVID-19 dashboard, 26 of the additional cases are from Region Four, 5 are from Region Ten, 8 are from Region Two and Three (4 each), 3 from Region Eight and 4 from Region Six and Seven (2 each).

From the results of 2,845 COVID-19 tests that were reported from last Sunday to yesterday, a total of 310 positive cases were confirmed.

The dashboard also revealed that there are now 5 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 55 persons in institutional isolation, 504 persons in home isolation and 38 persons in institutional quarantine. Meanwhile, 6126 who were infected with the disease have recovered while 170 persons have died.
