Cuba reports 9,363 Covid-19 cases and 98 deaths

Cuban health authorities on Wednesday reported 98 deaths in the last 24 hours due to Covid-19, the highest number in a day during the pandemic in the country.

In addition, 9,363 new positive cases were confirmed for SARS-CoV-2, which causes Covid-19.

With today’s statistics, Cuba has accumulated 422,614 contagions with the coronavirus and 3,091 deaths since March 11, 2020.

In his daily conference on television, Dr. Francisco Duran, national chief of Epidemiology, pointed out that 97,799 people remain in hospitals or at homes, including 47,709 who are suspected cases, 3,977 under epidemiological surveillance and 46,113 are active patients who carry the virus.
