Cuba confirms 8,683 new Covid-19 cases and 98 deaths

Cuban health authorities on Sunday reported 8,683 new Covid-19 cases and 98 deaths in the past 24 hours due to complications from the disease.

Dr. Francisco Duran, director of Epidemiology at the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), said at his daily press briefing on television that Cuba has accumulated 517,668 (7.2 percent) patients with SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and 4,023 deaths since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country in March 2020.
