Cuban health authorities on Sunday confirmed 1,185 Covid-19 cases and 10 deaths over the last 24 hours due to complications related to the disease.
Cuba accumulates 101,503 patients diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that causes Covid-19 since March 2020.
In his daily press briefing on television, the national director of Epidemiology at the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), Dr. Francisco Duran, informed that so far 591 patients have died of Covid-19 in Cuba.
He added that 23,264 patients are in hospitals nationwide, including 3,317 suspected cases, 14,185 under epidemiological surveillance and 5,761 active patients.
All Cuban microbiology labs performed 22,237 PCR tests on Saturday, so 3,517,959 such tests have been done in the country in over a year.
