Dominicans arrest 234 Haitians at border

The Dominican government said its army arrested 234 Haitians who tried to cross into the Dominican Republic at the border in Ajabòn on Saturday.

“The interdiction operation required hard intelligence work and the use of drones with thermal cameras, buggies, motorcycles and other cutting-edge technological equipment,” the Dominican Ministry of Defense said via Twitter.

The army also confiscated more than 300,000 foreign cigarettes from the Haitians during the operation. Source
